In October, a delegation from Ab&B Bio went to Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, and Spain to carry out multinational exchange and cooperation activities. The purpose of this exchange and cooperation activity is to gain a deeper understanding of the policy mechanisms, business environment, research and development cooperation, and industrialization opportunities in the local vaccine field, in order to explore business link cooperation resources and potential opportunities for the company in overseas markets in the future.
This event was led by Mr. An Youcai, Chairman and General Manager of Ab&B Bio, and attended by the company's international affairs leader and team. During the event, the delegation had in-depth exchanges and docking with local government departments, universities, and industry associations in Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, and Spain. We look forward to using this exchange and cooperation event to familiarize ourselves with the medical industry ecology of various countries and explore the global business development path of Ab&B Bio.
On this trip, the delegation first arrived in Brazil and was warmly received by the SECTICS Secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Health. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on national immunization planning policies, international cooperation, government procurement, and other matters, and jointly discussed the path and requirements for China's innovative vaccines to go to Brazil. Taking advantage of this visit, the delegation visited the Brazilian Institute of Vaccination and the Brazilian Vaccination Agency, and gained a detailed understanding of the history and current situation of vaccine research and development, production, and sales in Brazil.
Subsequently, the delegation arrived in Uruguay and held a promotion meeting for the tetravalent influenza virus subunit vaccine, Huierkangxin, at the Biotechnology Development Department of the Health Research Institute of the University of the Republic of Uruguay. A cooperation framework agreement was signed with the school. According to the agreement, both parties will conduct in-depth cooperation in the global industrial production and sales of innovative vaccines for human use. After the end, the delegation was invited to visit the International Relations and Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Health of Uruguay, and held talks with Director Castillo. They introduced the progress of the current cooperation project with the University of the Republic of Uruguay to the Director, and accepted the guidance of the Ministry of Health, increasing the possibility of incorporating the cooperation project between the two sides into a higher-level cooperation framework. During their stay in Uruguay, the delegation was also invited to visit the Minister of Industry of Uruguay, where the two sides exchanged ideas on the registration and technology transfer of innovative vaccine products in Uruguay; And visited the local biological product company ATGen, and conducted on-site inspections of infrastructure such as vaccine filling lines.
During this trip, the delegation also visited the Catholic Church University of Chile and the University of Chile, and participated in the 2023 CPHI Barcelona World Pharmaceutical Ingredients Europe Exhibition in Barcelona, Spain. They fully introduced China's high-quality vaccines to the world and actively explored potential cooperation methods with relevant departments and universities in multiple countries, laying a solid foundation for the overseas landing of innovative vaccines for human use.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of President Xi Jinping's "the Belt and Road" initiative. In the golden autumn of October, it also coincides with the successful convening of the third "the Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum. Ab&B Bio will respond to the national call, take advantage of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, accumulate experience and resources, actively expand overseas markets, walk out of the healthy path, and let the world use China's high-quality vaccines.
